AMP+ HVA 280 Connectors and Headers

TE Connectivity’s AMP+ HVA 280 series delivers finger-proof, touch-safe two- or three-position connectors and headers with multiple latching options and an integrated high voltage interlock (HVIL). This product family includes a discrete header design unique to the industry, improving packaging and manufacturing efficiency with a two-stage floating latch for increased safety in the system. The HVA 280 family offers over 3,000 combination options for a wide variety of device and wiring harness applications, including on-board chargers, battery packs, DC/DC converters and high voltage power distribution systems.

AMP+ HVA 630 2-Position and 5-Position Connectors

The AMP+ HVA 630 product family’s touch-safe connectors provide connector position assurance and HVIL functionality. These sealed, shielded two-position DC connectors and headers are ideal for high voltage applications like onboard chargers. The HVF 630 2-Position’s industry-proven AMP MCP 6.3/4.8 standard contact system and shielded multicore wire allows currents of 40A at 140˚ C ambient temperature and voltages of up to 850 V DC.

The AMP+ HVA 630 5-position connector helps meet the battery capacity demands of plug-in hybrid and electric vehicles. Designed for multi-shielded 360˚ and with an integrated HVIL, this connector enables a three-phase charging current of 32A. It meets the IEC62196-2 type 2 standard for a maximum charging capacity of 22 kW.

These shielded and sealed pluggable connectors are ideal for a variety of applications in electric vehicle infrastructure, such as connecting HV batteries and inverters or in charging applications. Depending on wire cross-section, the HVP 800 is capable of delivering up to 200A at 85˚ C.

AMP+ HVP 1100 Connectors

The AMP+ HVP 1100 is designed for flexibility with the options you need for a range of hybrid and EV device applications. This system provides a current-carrying capacity of up to 300A at 85˚ C, and a cable range between 50 mm2 and 950 mm2 individually shielded wire, making it useful in many high-voltage applications. The system provides an integrated internal HVIL for package size optimization.

With 360˚ EMC shielding, these connectors are designed for powertrain applications in high-vibration environments, with current capacity up to 300A (depending on wire cross-section) at 105˚ C. The IPT is suited for use in e-motors, inverters or batteries designed for hybrid or electric vehicles.

AMP+ Auxiliary Power Terminals meet USCAR-2 specifications for engine vibration and provide 360˚ EMC shielding.

The HV-20 series benchtop termination machines from TE Connectivity provide a high force crimping of cables up to 120mm² (4/0 cables) with crimp force monitoring and an integrated vacuum system to ensure clean, debris-free connections. The system’s single button design is safe, easy to operate, and allows multiple processing orientations.

The versatile design of the HV-20 and the adjustable die sets holder platform lets the process operate from the front, left, or right; and the side feed guard allows both loose piece and reeled terminal applications.
