Terminating Wires by Crimping

 Diagram Of Wire Crimping

What is Crimping?

An electrical crimp is a type of solderless electrical connection used to terminate stranded wire.

Crimping wires in 4 steps:

1. Strip 3mm of insulation from the stranded wire. Then, twist the end of the wire to group the strands together.

2. Break off the terminal connector and place the inner wings into the appropriate slot of the crimping tool.

3. Place the wire up to the insulation and the crimp inner wings around the wire strands.

4. Place outer wings into the appropriate slot of the crimping tool (size up if necessary) and crimp outer wings around insulation.
