The sensors monitor the acoustic resonance of surrounding airwaves to detect gas leaks that correspond to different refrigerants, including R32, R454, and R455 series refrigerants. This sensing method doesn’t use chemical reactions or moving parts, enabling a 15+ years lifetime. It also has a fast warmup time, fast response time, and embedded self-diagnostics that run once per minute. MGD series sensors include temperature and humidity compensation to ensure high accuracy. They operate from a 5Vdc input and draw <40mA. They’re offered in a compact package with an integral connector and IP54 protection.
