HARTING har-flex Connectors
HARTING har-flex Connectors are built on a 1.27mm grid and available in six stacking heights, ranging from 1.75mm to 13.65mm. These connectors support bridging PCB distances of 8mm to 20mm and use SMT technology for mezzanine configurations. The har-flex connectors offer contact spacing with pin counts from 6 to 100 pins in even-numbered increments, aiding in efficient use of PCB space. The connectors include solder hold-downs for secure attachment, helping to manage stress from insertion and removal. HARTING har-flex connectors are also tested for 100% coplanarity and come with pick-and-place pads for streamlined, automatic PCB assembly.
Features
- A reliable soldering process is ensured by a contact coplanarity of ≤0.1mm
- An optimal position on the PCB is achieved by guiding pegs
- Flexible tolerances of PCB distance due to a wiping length of 1.5mm
- Gas test after the initial 250 of 500 mating cycles ensures high quality and long-term reliability
- Mating profiles prevent mating in the opposite direction
- Polished performance level 1 (PL1) contacts ensure reliable connections for up to 500 mating cycles
- Robust design with solder hold-downs
- SMT termination for reflow solder process
- Tape-and-reel packaging for pick-and-place machines
- Vibration-proof catch mechanism on both sides prevents accidental loosening
- Wide range of pin counts available (all even numbers from 6 to 100)
Applications
- Embedded computing
- Industrial controllers
- Medical equipment
- Telecom

You are redesigning your product and now need more pins, more current, more signals, and more data but the product should not get any bigger. Take a look at the connectors from the har-flex family. Har-flex is small, flexible, and robust. Ready to connect all three industrial lifelines with the har-flex signal, har-flex power, and their combination into the har-flex hybrid as well as the har-flex HD-card edge. You can create signal, power, and data connections in numerous devices. Har-flex features small contact pictures to give you more context and less space which is the best way to miniaturize your next device generation. By the way which PCB configuration do you need? Motherboard-to-daughter card, mezzanine, extender card, or cable-to-board.
These flexible configurations and a highly available range of pull counts give you the freedom you need in the development process. Maybe your device needs exactly 24 signal pins, 5 power contacts, or 140 data pins. Moreover, har-flex is robust and fit for the industry with a high number of mating cycles, high-quality contact surface, resilience against shock and vibration, and additional board retention with SMT and THR hold-downs. As you see with har-flex everything is possible and the connector adapts to your PCB application. Would you like to learn more about har-flex?
