When you’re specifying an EMI absorber, you need to make sure it is designed to survive in harsh environmental conditions. 3M’s AB8000 series EMI absorber consists of a silicone carrier resin and magnetic fillers, which allow it to operate at temperatures up to 150°C. This high-performance resin offers high permeability, solder reflow stable performance and is intended for near-field applications from 300MHz to 4GHz. It is offered in 100μm to 500μm thick sheets and can be stacked in multiple layers to optimize performance and thickness to the application. It features removable liners, which support easy handling and die cutting. 3M(TM) AB8000 Series EMI absorbers have a 2-year shelf life and are often found in the automotive and aerospace markets. Most common applications include suppressing EMI noise in sensors, antennas, measurement devices, and printed circuit boards.
