3M 9703 Electrically Conductive Adhesive Tapes

3M 9703 Series Electrically Conductive Adhesive Transfer Tapes (ECATT) provide consistent electrical conductivity and EMI shielding. These tapes combine a conductive substrate with a pressure-sensitive adhesive for reliable bonding. The adhesive ensures low contact resistance and maintains performance under mechanical stress. These devices should be applied between +15°C to +70°C and operate effectively from -40°C and +85°C temperature range. Typical applications include electronics assembly, aerospace components, and flexible circuit grounding.

If you stick 3M’s 9703 Electrically Conductive Adhesive Transfer Tapes to your circuits, then your EMI problems won’t stick around. These electrically conductive adhesive tapes use a pressure sensitive adhesive filled with conductive particles. The particles are spaced so that the tape conducts only in the z direction, providing low contact resistance and excellent ESD and EMI performance while being an electrical insulator in the plane of the adhesive. This allows them to be applied across multiple components without shorting different parts of the circuit. The applied tape has a thickness of just 2mm. It can be applied at temperatures between +15°C and +70°C and requires no thermal curing. Once bonded, the tape can be used in applications with temperatures from -40°C to +85°C, depending on other environmental conditions.
