Vishay VY1 Compact Series AC Line Rated Disc Capacitors are highly reliable capacitors that consist of a ceramic disc that is silver-plated on both sides. The connections lead are of 0.6mm in diameter and are made out of tinned copper clab steel. The capacitors may be supplied with vertical (inline) kinked leads with a lead spacing of 10mm, or 12.5mm. The encapsulation is composed of flame-retardant epoxy resin according to UL 94 V-0. These VY1 series capacitors have an operating temperature range from -40°C to +125°C and a capacitance range from 10pF to 4700pF. Typical applications for these capacitors are across-the-line devices, antenna coupling, and line bypass.

The VY1 compact series is available from 470pF to 4700pF for use in across-the-line, line bypass, and antenna coupling applications.
