Vishay RCS e3 Anti-Surge Thick Film Chip Resistors
Vishay RCS e3 Series High Power Thick Film Chip Resistors are anti-surge components with enhanced power ratings and pulse load handling. These resistors offer high ESD surge resistance and ensure high reliability in demanding environments. The AEC-Q200 qualification makes these devices suitable for rigorous automotive and industrial standards. The RCS e3 series resistors feature resistance ranges from 1Ω to 10 MΩ, with tolerances as low as ±0.5%. The maximum operating temperature range is from -55°C to +155°C, and the operating voltage reaches 200V. These high-power chip resistors are used in automotive, industrial, telecommunications, and medical applications.

Wouldn’t it be nice to resist the stress transients in life with an internal high-power resistor? Well… that might never be the case for you or me, but at least we can include them in our circuits. Vishay’s anti-surge, high power, thick film chip resistors combine a significantly higher power rating and pulse load performance when compared to standard chip resistors. With superior ESD charge characteristics, these resistors are ideal for automotive, industrial, telecommunications, and medical applications.
The small packaging allows for placement on any circuit board and passes industry standard stress test qualification for passive components. These thick film chip resistors offer a large resistance range and low-temperature coefficient with an operating temperature that goes up to +155°C. Finally, resistance tolerances range from ±0.5% up to ±1% or ±5% with a maximum resistance change of less than 1% over 1000 hours for the ultimate reliability.
