Vishay PR Power Metal Film Resistors

Vishay PR Series Power Metal Film Resistors uses a technique where a uniform film of metal alloy is applied to a high-quality ceramic body. These devices feature a helical groove carved into the resistive layer and tinned connecting wires of electrolytic copper or copper-clad iron welded onto the end caps. The PR series are coated with a non-flammable red lacquer, protecting electrical, mechanical, and climatic factors. These leaded components offer a temperature coefficient of ±250ppm/K and a resistance tolerance of ±1%, ±5%. These power metal film resistors find use in automotive electronics, lighting ballast, and other general-purpose power applications.
