Vishay Z300-C Series High Surge Wirewound Resistors are axial, cemented resistors designed to limit inrush current during high-voltage surge events. The series uses a high-grade ceramic core with a non-flammable cement coating to support safe operation under overload conditions. The Z300-C resistors offer power ratings up to 6W and are available with high surge-withstand capability up to 12kV, depending on resistance value and model. Typical applications include power supplies, energy meters, industrial and home appliances, and electronic ballasts.
