Vishay NTCALUG03A Series NTC Thermistors are designed for surface temperature sensing in compact spaces. These miniature sensors feature a negative temperature coefficient thermistor soldered to silver-plated nickel cables and mounted inside a tin-plated copper barrel. The NTCALUG03A sensors offer a fast response time and reduced thermal gradient, allowing for accurate temperature measurement. Power electronics, especially in EVs, need stable, rugged, and easily installed temperature monitoring and you don’t get to tell your manager to pick two out of three. The last engineer that tried that, well, the official story is, “they’re no longer with the company.” Don’t be that engineer. Vishay’s NTCALUG01T thermistors are AEC-Q200 qualified NTC thermistors with a ring tongue terminal.
The thermistor chip is soldered to lead wires, insulated with an epoxy coating, then attached to the ring lug. The construction is extremely rugged and provides long term stability at 150°C, and the ring lug makes it easy to install, with options for M3 or M3.5 screws. This also provides a high insulation voltage, making it ideal for high power EV inverters. The thermistor has a resistance of 10 kilo-ohms, and the lead wires are silver plated copper with ETFE insulation for durability in extreme environments. For added value, this product can be customized to meet specific requirements.
