TE Sensor Solutions DT Series Piezo Film Sensor Elements are rectangular piezo film elements featuring silver ink electrodes. These elements come in various sizes and thicknesses, producing over 10mV per microstrain, significantly higher than foil strain gauges. The capacitance is proportional to area and inversely proportional to thickness. These sensors are primarily used as dynamic strain gauges and contact microphones for detecting vibration or impacts. The DT sensor elements are available without leads for custom applications and can be easily attached to surfaces using double-sided tape or epoxy.
