TE Sensor Solutions TE Sensor Solutions LVDT Position Sensor

E Series
The E Series of LVDTs is highly economical, satisfying numerous applications in which LVDT performance and reliability are desired, but where budgets are limited. With a linearity of just ±0.5% of full range (E 2000, ±1.0%), the E Series is suitable for most applications with moderate operating temperature environments. Housed in magnetic stainless steel for protection against electromagnetic and electrostatic interference, the E Series rugged construction is capable of resisting the shock and vibration of most industrial applications.

M-12 Series
The M-12 Series of layer-wound LVDTs offer premium performance at standard LVDT pricing. The M-12 series are wound with state-of-the art, computerized winding machines on a ribless bobbin, resulting in the smooth transfer function required for the most demanding materials testing and position feedback applications. Precision distribution and tapering of the layer windings provide an excellent stroke to length ratio, without sacrificing sensor linearity.

A constant sum of the secondary output voltages throughout the linear range insures compatibility with ratiometric signal conditioning schemes for even lower temperature coefficients The M-12 Series coil designs have been optimized to provide the lowest possible temperature coefficient of sensitivity, while maintaining suitability for operation with extended cable lengths. An internal high-permeability magnetic shield provides protection in the noisiest electromagnetic environments, while the high-quality AISI 304 Series stainless steel housing protects the LVDT from corrosion in aggressive environments.

HCA/HCA-RA Series
The HCA and HCA-RA Series hermetically sealed LVDTs provide premium performance in harsh industrial environments. Impervious to dirt, water, steam, and corrosive liquids/vapors compatible with its materials, the HCA/HCA-RA all-welded stainless steel construction withstands external pressures up to 1,000 PSI [70 bars]. Double magnetic shielding offers excellent protection from external electromagnetic fields.

The HCA/HCA-RA Series can be configured with a number of standard options. A high temperature operation (200ºC) model, HCA-T is also available. The HCA/HCA-RA is compatible with the full line of Measurement Specialties LVDT signal conditioners.

The HCA-RA version adds the convenience of a radial connector termination. This feature decreases the required installation space, while also allowing debris to harmlessly pass through the ‘open-ended’ bore.
