Redundant: not something you want to hear when your boss is talking about you in your performance review, but definitely something you want in high reliability connectors. TE Connectivity’s MCON Interconnection System integrate a redundant contact point technology for improved reliability, offer CPA capability, and utilize a three-directional secondary locking access meaning that once these connectors are locked, they’re not going anywhere. The MCON Interconnection System can tolerate high levels of vibration, integrate overstress protection in the contact springs, and come in a variety of sealed and unsealed options. As such, engineers can easily get the configuration they need for their application, and the conformity to standard blade sizes and interface requirements used by the automotive industry make them highly adaptable in automotive applications. With a current capacity of up to 100 amps, a maximum operating temperature of 150 degrees Celsius, and a wire size range from 0.13mm² to 16mm², these connectors won’t let you down.
