Souriau UTSX Series Plastic Circular Bayonet Connectors
Souriau UTSX series is a full-plastic, waterproof circular connector designed for harsh environments. The UTSX series features reinforced bayonet pins and a broader range of layouts, sizes, and mechanical keyings when compared to its predecessor, the UTS series. UTSX connectors are easy to plug/unplug with an interfacial seal in the plug. These connectors offer UL/IEC-qualified handling and operation. The UTSX connectors can withstand 250 mating cycles, are made of materials that have UV/corrosion-resistant properties, and are resistant to shock. The typical applications are sensors and connectors used in off-road machinery, instrumentation, outdoor solar, irrigation systems, wind management, and water management.

“Fix Bayonets” was the phrase historically used by soldiers before charging enemy lines, but fast forward to 2022, and it’s more likely to be said by an overenthusiastic engineer connecting two different cable systems together. The UTSX range of plastic bayonet connectors are designed to be mechanically toughed for rough environments and are resistant to excessive mating forces as well as integrate a key to prevent incorrect connection.
At the same time, the UTSX range of plastic bayonet connectors use UV and corrosion-resistant materials which enables them to operate in harsh environments, and the maximum ingress protection of IP69K will stop even the most persistent dust and oils from getting inside. Finally, the impact resistance of IK06 and a minimum of 250 mating cycles will ensure the cable functions throughout its lifetime, and the operating temperature from -40 to 105 degrees Celsius ensures safe operation in all environments.
