SOURIAU 8STA series connectors are a different kind of high-speed connector. These aren’t built for 400GB Ethernet. No, these are high-speed connectors because you can put them into UAVs, rockets, and race cars. SOURIAU based the 8STA connectors on MIL-D-T-L-thirty-eight-triple-nine and J-N-1003 standards but made them much smaller and lighter than equivalent thirty-eight-triple-nine connectors. This makes them ideal for size- and weight-sensitive Mil-Aero applications, including satellite launch systems, UAVs, body-worn infantry interconnect, and transportation.
8STA connectors are offered in shell sizes 02 to 24, with up to 128 signal contacts or hybrid signal and power combinations. The connectors can withstand high levels of shock and vibration, are resistant to fuels and oils, and are rated for 500 mating cycles. The integrated backshell and oval flange receptacle provide additional space savings, while the quick, self-locking couple mechanism and color coding make them easy to use.
