Smiths Interconnect M12 & M23 Circular Metric Connectors
Smiths Interconnect / Molex M12 and M23 Circular Metric Connectors provide a wide range of superior contact technologies suitable for standard and customized solutions.
The M12 connector systems are robust and compact connectivity solution that resists high levels of shock and vibration. The aesthetically pleasing design of these connectors features a unique side-loading contact retention system that provides positive contact retention and simplifies the assembly process. The M12 connectors come in Series W which offers 500 mating cycles and operates from -40°C to 125°C temperature range. These devices are ideal for communication applications, including factory automation, drive motors, machine tools, and robots.
The M23 industrial power and signal connectors are robust technology that ensures immunity to shock and vibration and minimal contact resistance. The crimp contacts are used which guarantees the high quality of the connection during installation. These robust connectors come in Series L and S which offer outstanding electromagnetic compatibility protection through a 360° screen connection. The M23 Series L and S connectors feature CuZn alloy, and zinc die-cast shells and operate from -40°C to 125°C temperature range. These devices are ideal in applications such as controls, encoders, machinery, and conveyance.

A performance so superior it’s reliable in even the most harsh and demanding environments. No, this is not just a hyperbole about hyperbolically arranged contact wires in Smiths Interconnect’s M12 and M13 Circular Metric Connectors. The hyperboloid technology is designed for safety critical applications, providing reliability for operating temperatures of negative 40 to 125 degrees Celsius with a resistance to high levels of shock and vibration and up to 500 mating cycles when embedded in M12 connectors. M12 connectors have a robust design with a side loading contact retention system providing positive contact retention for factory automation, machinery, rail infrastructure, and test equipment. The M23 industrial power and signal connectors offer crimp contacts with a wide cable clamp range of 5 to 18.5 millimeters for high quality connection and 360 degree EMC shielding for controls, encoders, machinery, and conveyance applications. Environmentally sealed to IP67 these connectors are protected against the harshest of Industrial processing environments.
