Nexperia NPS4053 Series Load Switches
Nexperia NPS4053 Series Load Switches maintain a constant output current using a constant-current mode when the load exceeds the current limit threshold or is shorted. NPS4053 and NPS4053-Q100 switches operate at 5.5V with a resistance of 55mΩ. These load switches offer a precision adjustable current limit range from 110mA to 2.5A. The NPS4053 series load switches feature active reverse voltage protection and an ILIM pin protection that can be shorted to ground or left floating. Typical applications include current limiting circuits, optical socket protection, and power distribution in Electronic Control Units (ECUs).

Nexperia’s NPS4053 Series Load Switches limit a constant output current with a precision current limit accuracy of 6% at 1.2A, ensuring computers, HDTVs, docking stations, and other current limiting circuits are protected on the input side of the switch by an internal voltage comparator. An input current limiting pin, built in soft start functionality, and reverse voltage protection offers reliable switching for adjustable current limits of 110mA to 2.5A with a 2A maximum continuous current rating. Additional overcurrent, over temperature, and reverse voltage monitoring is provided by an active low output FLG pin. The 5.5V, 55mΩ rated load switch is UL recognized with ESD protection and an operating temperature range of -40°C to +125°C.
