Honeywell HIH-5030 and HIH-5031 Humidity Sensors

Honeywell HIH-5030 and HIH-5031 Series Low Voltage Humidity Sensors are designed specifically for high-volume Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) usage. The HIH-5031 is a covered, integrated circuit humidity sensor that is resistant to condensation, while the HIH-5030 is a covered integrated circuit sensor. These humidity sensors have a molded thermoset plastic housing with great precision and laser-trimmed interchangeability. HIH-5030/5031 sensors feature an operating temperature range from -40°C to +85°C and a supply voltage range from 2.7VDC to 5.5VDC. Typical applications include air compressors, refrigeration, telecommunications, infant incubators, and sleep apnea equipment.

When springtime brings warmer air and those humid spring thunderstorms, you probably just want to break out the oscillating fans while you sprawl out on the couch with a popsicle and TV remote. But before you binge on your favorite show, let me tell you about Honeywell’s HIH-5030 and HIH-5031 humidity sensors.

Designed specifically for high volume OEM usage in industrial and medical applications, the humidity sensors are made of laser trimmed interchangeable material and a molded thermoset plastic housing with reel and tape packing to employ pick and place production in large quantities. Chemical resistance and increased accuracy along with a low supply voltage of 2.7 to 5.5 volts and an operating temperature range between negative 40 to 85 degrees Celsius make these ideal for air compressors, refrigeration, telecommunication and sleep apnea equipment.
