Harwin Kontrol Connectors
Harwin Kontrol Connectors line consists of compact 1.27mm pitch connectors and is fully shrouded to withstand lateral and twisting forces experienced during vibration. These connectors feature surface-mount solder tabs and location pegs to facilitate automation and enhance retention of the PCB. The Kontrol connectors support blind mating and are available in pin counts ranging from 12 to 80 positions, and mated connectors can carry up to 1.2A per contact with support data rates of up to 3Gbits/s. The mezzanine connectors, also known as parallel board-to-board connectors, offer a choice of vertical stacking heights for flexibility in stacked board systems. Typical applications include automotive, aerospace, and telecommunications.

Ah, the joys of fiddling with a connector because it doesn’t seem to be making contact, only to find it snap the housing. If this sounds like a problem that you often struggle with, then you could probably do well to use the Kontrol SIL series from Harwin.
These teeny tiny connectors, an expansion on the Kontrol Series, come in both male and female variations, are fully shrouded to protect the internal pins, have polarized keying to prevent accidental mis-mating, and allow a mis-alignment angle of up to 4.3°.
The use of a latch removes the need for any specialist tooling, surface mount tabs increase the PCB retention force, and the ability to resist 20G for up to 12 hours means that no amount of screaming tantrums will damage these connectors.
With a current rating of 1.2A per contact, a contact resistance of 25mΩ, and an operating temperature of -55°C to +125°C, these connectors are able to withstand some pretty harsh environments.
