Glenair 77 Series Heat Shrink Boots

Glenair 77 Series Heat Shrink Boots provide mechanical and environmental protection to connector-to-cable transitions. The 77 heat shrink boots are formulated from injection-molded polymers, then heated and expanded. The shape-memory property of the material allows it to return to its original shape when heated with a hot air gun. 77 series heat shrink boots come with adhesive coatings on the inside of the boot to provide a watertight, high-strength bond to the cable jacket and the connector or adapter. Typical applications include cable terminations, electrical components, factory-built harnesses, and repairable cable assemblies.

Features

  • Lipless boots:
    • Lipless boots are designed for direct attachment to connector threads
  • Lipped boots:
    • Lipped boots are designed for use with connector adapters that attach to AS85049 circular connectors
  • Provide mechanical and environmental protection to connector-to-cable transitions
  • RoHS compliant:
    • All series 77 shrink boots are fully RoHS compliant, including adhesive-lined versions.
  • Very good resistance to fuels, oils, solvents, and heat
