Environmental Compliance
Environmental Initiatives and Compliance
This is TTI’s repository concerning our stance on environmental standards. It includes vital documents and links to regulation that will help you understand the important role TTI plays in ensuring the environment is a safe and healthy place for all involved..
Component Compliance
As applicable to authorized distributors of components, TTI has adopted environmental directives: RoHS, REACH, WEEE, and others, to contribute to the protection of human health and environmentally sound recovery and disposal of electrical and electronic equipment. TTI complies with city, state and federal laws, which address these concerns, and strives for even higher standards as described in the "Responsible Business Alliance" ( Code of Conduct version 6.0, 2018)
Visit our RoHS Information and REACH Information pages for additional information on these directives.
Environmental Overview
Based on the guidance of ISO 14001, TTI’s environmental commitment includes conserving energy and water, and recycling wastepaper and packaging materials. We define and achieve these goals by continuously evaluating operations and acting to ensure we are as efficient as possible.
In 2014, TTI met the registration requirements of ISO 14001 as a part of our corporate commitment to ongoing management and improvement of our environmental programs and processes. This included a top-to-bottom review of how we do business and the manner in which we use resources, the byproducts we create, and how we dispose of waste. This review, which is continually ongoing as part of our environmental policy, allows TTI to identify the major areas where we target emphasis for the most effective return on our efforts
Programs Overview
There is a growing awareness about the condition of our world and the fact that it really isn’t the self-cleaning planet we humans hoped it would be.

About RoHS
RoHS (Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment) is a European Directive aiming to control the use of certain hazardous substances in the production of new electrical and electronic equipment. It is a partner directive to the WEEE Directive (Waste in Electrical and Electronic Equipment) that controls the disposal and recycling of EEE.
TTI's RoHS status refers to the OE Manufacturer's stated compliance to 2011/65/EU European Union Directive and amendment (EU) 2015/863, which adds 4 phthalates to 2011/65/EU as of July 22, 2019. TTI's RoHS status may include an allowable exemption as defined in the EU Directive 2011/65/EC and relevant amendments. Conflict Minerals
TTI is fully aware of U.S. Congress HR 4173, specifically with regard to section 1502-Conflict Minerals. We continue to monitor the ongoing SEC developments and are committed to helping our customers comply with all reporting requirements, where applicable.
Manufacturers have made it clear that their distributors are not authorized to provide this complex data to the end customer, as traditional component distribution activities are not within the scope of the bill’s definition of reporting requirements. However, TTI realizes the importance of this initiative and fully supports its spirit. To assist our customers in their due diligence responsibilities, we have developed this program to compile and present our component manufacturer’s positions.
Information from manufacturers is becoming more readily available. TTI continues our earnest efforts to facilitate the timely flow of information as it becomes available.
