As a longtime leader in supply chain technology, TTI leverages API (Application Program Interface) technology so that you can instantly access inventory and pricing information, placing orders quickly. Integrate our APIs into your business processes and you’ll see the benefits of real-time queries, especially the cost savings that come from removing repetitive manual data entry.
With TTI APIs, you can query availability, lead times, product information, pricing and more from our global inventory management platform in real time, significantly cutting the amount of manual effort needed for your team to perform BOM cost roll up and place orders. Our APIs feed data directly to your Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Material Requirement Planning (MRP) systems. We also have a number of partners who can process these queries via their RFQ management system for you; a TTI Supply Chain Specialist will be happy to make an appropriate recommendation.
Frequently Asked Questions
An API is a way of sending information between two computer systems. Think about it like this:
Not long ago you would go to the doctor and receive a prescription that you would then drive to the pharmacy to be processed. In that case you were the API, delivering information from one place to another.
These days your doctor is likely to just send the prescription directly from their system to the pharmacy’s system. You no longer act as the API because they have worked together to implement actual APIs for the mutual benefit of both.
It’s that simple. We are constantly benefiting from APIs between systems in our daily lives, and just like the example above, they save time, eliminate errors, and make it possible to do business faster.

- Work with an API developer or your in-house design team, to first design your API. If you don’t have design resources, you can work with one of our 3rd party partners listed below.

- We will send you the token (think 'PIN Number') that your organization will use to access the TTI API.
- Your technical team will then want to set up testing to ensure that your system is able to communicate with TTI's. Our developer resources provide all the details they will need.
- Once you have confirmed that the systems are working well together, you're all set!
When you receive real-time pricing and availability data directly from TTI it reduces the time spent on slow and potentially inaccurate data entry. Saving time and eliminating errors will increase your organization’s ability to source electronic components accurately and quickly.
