Toshiba TLP7920 and TLP7920F Photocouplers are optically isolation amplifiers that are designed for current sensing in electronic motor drives. The a typical implementation, motor currents flow through an external resistor and the resulting analog voltage drop is sensed by the TLP7920 or TLP7920F. These devices provide an output side supply voltage range from 3V to 5.5V and an output side supply current of 6.2mA. The TLP7920 and TLP7920F come with an operating temperature range from -40°C to +105°C and a minimum common-mode transient immunity of 15kV/µs. These components are ideal for motor control applications.
