TE Connectivity TE Connectivity MULTILOCK Connector System

TE Connectivity MULTILOCK Connector Systems are used extensively in the automotive industry in wire-to-wire and wire-to-board applications. MULTILOCK Connector System consists of a plug housing with receptacle contacts and a cap housing with tab contacts for wire termination. Additionally, the MULTILOCK Connectors have a cap housing assembly that can be mounted onto the printed circuit board either vertically or horizontally.

Features

  • .040 MULTILOCK
    • Connectors consist of plug housings, receptacle contacts for wire termination, and cap housing assemblies for horizontal and vertical mountings on PC boards
    • Connectors are easy to handle
    • Contacts are spaced at a 2.5 mm centerline
    • The cap housing assemblies of 36, 48, and 64 Positions of horizontal board mounting types are also available with hybrid styles to accept signal circuits with .040 series and power circuits with .070
    • The contacting point of a receptacle contact is designed to be protected
    • The plug housings are provided with a double-lock mechanism integrated into the body which ensures complete contact insertions into the housings
  • .040 MULTILOCK Connectors Mark II
    • Contacts are spaced at a 2.5 mm centerline
    • The board-mounting cap housing assemblies are available with vertical and horizontal types
    • The plug housings are provided with two-piece double-lock plates which prevent incomplete contact insertions into housings
  • .070 MULTILOCK Connectors Mark I and Mark II
    • The contacting point of a receptacle contact is designed to be protected
    • The Mark I plug connectors are provided with double-lock plates integrated into the body which ensures complete contact insertions into housings
    • The Mark II plug connectors are provided with a two-piece double-lock mechanism to prevent half insertions of contacts
    • Wire-to-wire and wire-to-board connectors are available
  • .025 (064 mm) Series Connectors
    • Connectors for automotive applications suitable for high-density mountings
    • Designed to resist deformation of contacts by scooping at mating/unmating
    • Hybrid types of 0.25/.040 and 0.25/.090 are also available
    • Low insertion force contacts optimized to tolerate fretting corrosion
    • Many numbers of positioned housings will be available
    • Side-locks prevent half-mating of connector halves and increase the connector retention force
    • Without closing double locks, connectors cannot mate
  • .040/.070 Series Hybrid I/O Connectors
    • Connectors for use with a mixture of .040 terminals for signal circuits and .070 terminals for power circuits
    • High range of pin count variants
    • Plug connectors for wire termination are supplied with a hinge lock or side lock
