TE Connectivity BATTU Dual Wall Heat Shrink Tubing

BATTU tubing from TE Connectivity (TE) is a flame-retardant, adhesive-lined tubing made from a polyolefin jacket with a thermoplastic adhesive inner wall. It is specifically designed for power cable to terminal applications in harsh environments, providing excellent electrical isolation, mechanical protection and moisture-resistance. This semi-rigid tubing also offers a degree of strain relief, and it withstands operating temperatures up to 130°C.

BATTU tubing has been optimized in size for fast application to speed production. Offered in six cut lengths, 32, 39, 51, 64, 77 and 102mm, as well as in 1.22m sticks to help prevent splitting that might result from improper cutting on the plant floor.

They say that greatness recognizes greatness, and I’m here to tell you that’s true because as soon as I saw TE Connectivity’s BATTU heat shrink tubing, I knew it was special. BATTU tubing has a semi-rigid outer jacket for protection against abrasion and bending, while a thermoplastic adhesive inner wall bonds to a variety of materials and forms a moisture-resistant seal.

The tubing is also flame retardant, can withstand common automotive fluids, and can be used in temperatures from minus 40 to plus 130 degrees Celsius, making it well-suited for many kinds of vehicles, heavy equipment, and marine applications. TE Connectivity BATTU tubing has an approximate 2:1 shrink ratio and is sized for typical power cables and terminals. It’s rated for 600 volts and is offered in common pre-cut lengths for fast and efficient assembly.
