TDK SIMID SMT Inductors
TDK SIMID Series SMT Inductors are available in laser-cut and wire-wound designs across seven EIA sizes, from 0402 to 2220. The laser-cut versions use a copper-plated ceramic core with a single-layer coil etched by a focused laser, while wire-wound types employ enameled copper wire welded or soldered to terminals. These SIMID series inductors offer an inductance range from 1nH to 10,000µH and current ratings between 25mA and 3510mA, depending on the model and construction. These devices feature a maximum rated temperature of +125°C and high mechanical stability. Applications include consumer electronics, telecommunications, automotive electronics, and industrial systems.

Can you really have too much of a good thing? Maybe, but not when it comes to well-built inductors. EPCOS / TDK SIMID series of surface mount inductors includes multiple sizes and variants to address applications including decoupling, filtering, impedance matching, electromagnetic compatibility, and more. Size 0603 inductors are manufactured using a copper-plated ceramic core that is laser cut to form the inductor windings. Laser-cut inductors offer high resonant frequencies, very tight inductance tolerance, and high reliability.
Wire-wound inductors in the SIMID series have the windings welded to the terminals, which allows them to withstand higher temperatures than soldered terminations. The SIMID series is offered with inductance values from 1nH to 10,000µH and with current ratings up to 3.51A. Most options are also AEC-Q200 qualified, and many can be used at temperatures up to 150°C.
