Normally, choking is bad, but as is typically the case with RF and EMI, the opposite is true; chokes are essential to many electronic devices as they suppress common mode noise. EPCOS offers a wide range of current-compensated power line chokes using a closed core topology to address all your common-mode filtering needs.
