Someone left the engineers at Samtec unattended in the lab… again. This time, they managed to cross a laser and a razor, which resulted in the Samtec Razor Beam LSHM Series of high-speed connectors. These connectors offer up to 100 I/Os on a 0.5mm pitch and various stacking heights from 5mm to 12mm, and they’re self-mating to reduce inventory costs. The connectors can support 14Gb/s and are rated for up to 160Vac and 226Vdc, with a maximum current rating of 2A, enabling both power and high-speed digital signals through this connector. Pre-lubricated EMI shielding and HLCD series cable mates are also available. The connectors have passed Samtec’s Severe Environment Testing, which aligns with MIL-DTL-55302, making these connectors more than suitable for defense, aerospace, industrial, and medical applications.
