Osram LTRB RASF Multi Chip LEDs

OSRAM LTRB RASF Multi-Chip LEDs arrange red, green, and blue chips in a triangular layout to optimize color mixing inside the package. These LEDs use a surface-mount package with silicone resin and support reflow soldering under JEDEC Level 2 preconditioning. The LTRB RASF LEDs emit at dominant wavelengths of approximately 530nm (green), 621nm (red), and 465nm (blue), feature Lambertian emission with a typical 120° beam angle, and operate over a temperature range from -40°C to +85°C. These devices are suitable for gaming and entertainment hardware, appliances and tools, backlighting such as LCDs, keys, switches, advertising, and light-guide coupling.

This small RGB LED with separately controllable colors has a low height under 0.6mm, a durable silicone resin package and 120° viewing angle. It’s designed for tunable colors applications for visual effects in architectural lighting and gaming machines or for simple state indicators in consumer and industrial appliances. The triangular chip layout ensures excellent red, green, and blue color mixing. The Multi Chip LED delivers over 2000mcd of broad, ambient light brightness at the white point, and a color grouping closer to the Planckian locus. The extended availability cycle makes it a perfect choice for long-running designs. The ESD rating up to 4kV and high 2B corrosion robustness makes it suitable for harsher environments. The flip chip technology eliminates bond wires for enhanced durability and better color uniformity.
