Using infrared light is like giving yourself engineering superpowers. You can blast photons all day for night vision, presence detection, and other sensing applications without anybody even knowing. You just have to make sure you have enough power, which is where ams OSRAM’s SFH family high power infrared emitters factor in. These leverage ams OSRAM’s latest IR:6 thin-film chip technology for 35% higher brightness and 42% higher efficiency than previous generations. They’re available in 850nm, 920nm, and 940nm wavelengths, allowing engineers to optimize between camera sensitivity and reduced visible red glow. These high-power IR emitters are available in multiple package sizes, beam angles and performance levels. The OSLON family provides maximum power per board area, the OSLON Black family offers the highest power, and the SYNIOS family balances both.
