Rope pull (sometimes called trip cords or wire pull) emergency stop devices are typically cords of braided plastic-coated wire, installed horizontally across the points of hazard and when pulled or cut cause the switch to generate an emergency stop. All are IP67 (NEMA 6) rated, with heavy-duty die-cast or stainless steel housings, and rope spans range to 200 m depending on model. Optional E-stop button provides emergency stopping capability at the end of the installation and is field serviceable.
E-Stop Pushbutton Switches
Emergency-stop switches help ensure the safety of people and machinery by delivering a consistent and predictable fail-safe response. Electrical machinery need these specialized switches to meet workplace safety and established international and domestic regulatory requirements. E-Stops incorporate a latching mechanism that must be reset through a pull or twist operation.
