NKK Switches JW Series High Inrush Rocker Switches

NKK Switches JW Series High Inrush Rocker Switches are designed to handle large inrush current, with a high electrical capacity of 10A and 16A, and are used as Power-On devices in equipment. The JW rocker switches offer prominent external insulating barriers to increase insulation resistance and dielectric strength and is uniquely constructed to break light contact welds. JW rocker switches operate at a temperature range from -25°C to +70°C for JWM-JWL and -25°C to +85°C for the JWMW-JWLW series type. These rocker switches support vibration from 10Hz to 55Hz and offer dielectric strength ranging from 2000VAC to 4000VAC. Typical applications include heavy machinery, industrial, medical, restaurant, telecommunications, and transportation services.

Features

  • Designed to resist dust, featuring an interior cover positioned between the actuator and contact area
  • Designed with a unique construction to effectively break light contact welds
  • Elevated insulation resistance and dielectric strength are achieved through prominent external insulating barriers
  • Enhanced electrical lifespan achieved through a specially designed plate aimed at minimizing contact bounce
  • JWMW and JWLW panel seal versions meet IP67 IEC 60529 standards
  • The connector supports the use of solder lug-quick-connect terminals
  • The housing and case, made from a heat-resistant resin, comply with the UL94V-0 standard
  • The terminals are molded in and epoxy sealed to effectively block out flux, dust, and other contaminants
