Murata PRF, PRG, and NCP Series Thermistors

Murata PRF Series Positive Temperature Coefficient (PTC) Thermistors are an electronic component where the resistance remains almost constant near room temperature, however, when the temperature exceeds a constant temperature, the resistance suddenly increases. The PRF PTC thermistors utilize this sharp change in resistance to accurately detect overheating.

The PRG Series PTC Thermistors feature rapid operation to protect the circuit when overcurrent is generated, for example, due to a short circuit. These thermistors automatically return to their initial state when the overcurrent is eliminated and can be used repeatedly. The PRG PTC thermistors offer higher withstand voltage and higher power capacity, making it possible to reduce the chip size.

The NCP Series Negative Temperature Coefficient (NTC) Thermistors are UL/cUL recognized and have excellent solderability and high stability. These NCP NTC thermistors offer chip-type temperature sensors ideal for temperature sensing and compensation.
