Molex VHDM Backplane Connector System

Molex VHDM Backplane Connector System features high-density and high-speed performance that optimizes single-ended applications and also supports differential pair demands in one system. These connectors are available in VHDM, VHDM L-Series, VHDM H-Series, and VHDM-HSD variants. This VHDM connector system supports data rates up to 6.25Gbps in a robust modular construction enabling maximum design flexibility by combining wafers, power, and guidance. The connector system is available in 5-, 6-, and 8-row configurations. Typical applications include medical, defense, and servers.

The daughter card connectors are made from wafers. Each wafer has a column of signal contacts plus a ground shield, which are then mounted onto a stiffener to make a mono-block connector. Backplane headers are available in lengths of 10 and 25 columns. These connectors come with optional freestanding, robust guide pins that mount directly into the backplane PCB to accommodate heavier daughter cards.
