Molex Quasar OptiX Field Mountable Connectors (FMSc) enable fast and tool-minimal fiber terminations in the field, reducing installation time and system downtime. These connectors eliminate curing and polishing steps, supporting reliable use in harsh, outdoor environments. The Quasar OptiX FMCs feature a maximum operating temperature of +75°C and a minimum durability of 500 mating cycles. These devices come with a tensile load of 40N per 5s and a maximum cable retention force of 50N per 5s. Applications include broadband installations, fiber-to-the-home networks, distributed access systems, and wireless infrastructure.
