Molex PowerWize BMI High-Current Interconnects
Molex PowerWize Blind-Mate Interface (BMI) High-Current Interconnects feature crimped COUER sockets (3.40mm/75A, 6mm/110A, and 8mm/185A) for high-current transfer via right-angle headers to PCBs or busbars. The PowerWize Interconnects use multiple contact beams for optimal current capacity, ensuring low resistance, minimal voltage drop, and reduced heat at the contact point. The BMI interconnects offer field-installable, battery-powered applicators that enable on-site cable assembly fabrication. These interconnects operate within a temperature range from -40°C to +125°C and offer a minimum durability of 200 mating cycles. Typical applications include data storage units, network routers, and network routers.
The PowerWize Off-the-Shelf (OTS) Cable Assemblies feature mechanical keying, color-coding, and unique rib positions to prevent mismating in multi-connector setups. The PowerWize cable assemblies feature finger-touch-safe receptacles that prevent accidental contact with an energized circuit. These assemblies have positive locking with active latches that provide operators tactile and audible feedback during system integration.
The Pre-crimped leads are available in male-to-male and female-to-female configurations (75mm to 600mm), offer a cost-effective solution for prototyping to mass production.
