Molex Mini50 Connectors
Molex Mini50 Connectors achieve 50% space savings over traditional USCAR 0.64mm connectors with sealed or unsealed single- and dual-row receptacles. These devices feature smaller terminals to support more low-current circuits in vehicle interiors. The Mini50 connectors are designed with harnesses to reduce weight and space while ensuring reliable performance in automotive environments.
The Mini50 connectors meet USCAR 050 standards and operate in temperatures up to +260°C using high-temperature thermoplastic housings. The female terminal grips accommodate wires as small as 0.13mm², with ISL terminal retention and CPA latch options improving reliability. The sealed matte-seal design supports IPX8-rated applications, while board-alignment features ensure header stability during soldering. Applications include infotainment, lighting, HVAC, sensors, and navigation systems.

In a world full of copycats and clones, it’s rare to be “the only” anything, but Molex has the only selected USCAR 050 interface in the form of their unsealed Mini50 connector system. The Mini50 system provides up to 50% space savings over traditional USCAR 0.64mm connectors, minimizing the PCB footprint and enabling greater design flexibility. Headers and receptacles are available in single, dual, and triple-row configurations with up to 38 positions, with multiple polarization options to ensure proper assembly.
The CTX50 terminals feature a wire grip design for the wire that accommodates 0.13mm², 0.22mm², and 0.35mm² wire, maintaining retention strength while allowing for smaller, lighter, and lower-cost wires to be used. The connectors have an independent secondary lock to secure the terminal in the housing, and optional connector position assurance latches are available to prevent accidental un-mating.
