Molex's iPass+ High Density (HD) External And Internal Connectors are designed for large-scale data-center storage systems that support SAS 3.0 signaling up to 100m with low power consumption. These connectors provide a one-step placement to PCB with a fully integrated press-fit receptacle design. The iPass+ HD connectors feature a dual paddle card cable assembly design, I2C bus protocol, and onboard EEPROM chip on external cables, and provide routing control for end users. These connectors come with various configurations of 4x and 8x cables that can mate with 1-by-2 or 1-by-4 integrated connectors. The iPass+ HD connectors support projected SAS 4.0 data rates scalable to 96Gbps. Typical applications include storage controllers, storage racks, data centers, and enterprise storage systems.
