Littelfuse SIDACtor + MOV AC Line Protection
Littelfuse Pxxx0FNL 3kA SIDACtor + MOV AC Line Protection offers an innovative method of using a silicon crowbar component known as the SIDACtor Protection Thyristor for the main over-voltage protection solutions for AC power lines. The Pxxx0FNL are bi-directional protection thyristor devices designed to be used in series with clamping devices such as varistors or TVS diode for protecting AC power input lines. The Pxxx0ME 5kA series SIDACtor components are designed to protect equipment located in high exposure environments from severe overvoltage transients. These components can handle a much higher surge current since its on-state-voltage is so low. It also provides a much lower over-shoot characteristic for high dv/dt or high di/dt events as compared to the GDT, MOVs, or TVS components.
