Littelfuse PolySwitch Radial Leaded PPTC Resettable Fuses are designed to provide overcurrent protection for applications where space is not a concern and resettable protection is preferred. The PolySwitch and POLY-FUSE devices are Polymeric Positive Temperature Coefficient (PPTC) devices that provide engineers more design flexibility and are compatible with high-volume electronics assembly. PPTCs increase resistance as temperature increases due to increased flow. The devices are designed to limit unsafe currents while allowing constant safe current levels, resistance will "reset" automatically when the fault is removed and the temperature returns to a safe level. These PolySwitch resettable PPTC fuses are available in different variants REGF, RHEF, RUEF, RUSBF, RXEF, RKEF, AHRF series, and so on. Ideal for situations where frequent overcurrent conditions occur or constant uptime is required, resettable PPTCs are typically used in consumer electronics, power lines, telecom, I/O port, process control, and medical equipment protection applications.
