Littelfuse PLED Series Open LED Protectors ensure continuous operation of LED strings by providing an electronic shunt path when an LED fails open. These devices enable uninterrupted functionality of the remaining LEDs in the string. The PLED protectors support one, two, or three-watt LEDs with a nominal 3V forward voltage. These components feature fast switching and automatic reset after power cycling. The PLED series is compatible with PWM frequencies up to 30kHz and is available in low-profile QFN or DO-214 packages. The thermal resistance ranges from 40°C/W to 120°C/W depending on the package type. The PLED series open LED protectors suit industrial, outdoor lighting, street signs, and roadside warning light applications.
