Knowles Capacitors StackiCap MLCCs
Knowles Syfer StackiCap MultiLayer Ceramic Capacitors (MLCCs) are designed to provide high Capacitance Value (CV) in compact packages and offer volumetric efficiency in high-voltage X7R ceramic capacitors. These capacitors are combined with FlexiCap stress-relieving terminations, that have the potential to replace film and tantalum capacitors. The StackiCap MLCCs come with a maximum capacitance of 5.6µF and an insulation resistance of 100GΩ or 500secs whichever is less. Knowles Syfer StackiCap MLCCs with an aging rate of <2% per decade is applicable in power supplies, lighting, aerospace electronics, and high voltage applications where a large amount of capacitance is required.

I went to an engineering magic show once and this engineer pulls out two capacitors, says things like Abraca-stacka and Ala-capacitor, then smashed them together into one stacked capacitor. Was it really magic? No, just a quick switch to show us a Knowles StackiCap capacitor. StackiCap surface mount MLCCs feature a unique patented construction and Knowles FlexiCap terminations to deliver high CV in compact packages.
The capacitors can replace film or tantalum capacitors to reduce weight and PCB area in applications such as power supplies or resonance tanks and snubber circuits. StackiCap MLCCs are offered in case of sizes from 1812 to 3640 covering capacitance values up to 5.6μF and voltage ratings up to 2000V, with additional sizes in development. The capacitors have an X7R dielectric for stable operation up to +125°C, and AEC-Q200-qualified variants are available.
