Syfer Hiteca Multilayer Ceramic Capacitors
Knowles Syfer Hiteca Series Multilayer Ceramic Capacitors use a patented dielectric system that offers improved capacitance stability and lower parasitic losses under common operating conditions. These capacitors have high capacitance values under the full rated voltage range and a capacitance aging rate of 0. The capacitors feature low capacitance loss that enables the devices to handle high ripple currents. These capacitors operate over a temperature range from -55°C to +125°C. Hiteca MLCCs find use in automotive, industrial, and power supply applications.

I feel like I’m in my 20s again! No, this isn’t about some supplements, I was just soldering some Knowles Hiteca MLCCs. They have a unique, patented dielectric system that enables a capacitance aging rate of zero percent per decade, but I think it rubbed off on me. Anyway, Hiteca MLCCs are available in case sizes from 1206 to 2225 from 100pF to 33nF, and with voltage ratings up to 2000VDC. The zero capacitance aging is complemented by extreme stability over temperature and voltage as well, making them ideal for applications such as DC bus smoothing, while their non-piezo construction is great for snubbers. Hiteca MLCCs also have low self-heating and low-loss AC operation that allows for higher ripple current handling than those same old ceramic capacitors you’ve been using. AEC-Q200-qualified variants are available for automotive applications.
