Knowles Capacitors Enhanced 250VAC and 305VAC Safety Certified Capacitors

Knowles Syfer Enhanced 250VAC and 305VAC Safety Certified Capacitors (A25 and A30 series) comply with international UL/cUL and IEC/EN specifications. These devices offer designers the option of using a surface-mount ceramic multilayer capacitor to replace lead film types. The A25 and A30 series capacitors include Class Y2 250VAC range and Class X1 and X2 305VAC range with safety-certified DC voltage rating and certified as humidity robustness grade IIIB. These safety-certified capacitors come with a simple pick-an-place assembly, reduced board space, and a lower profile, and are also available in a FlexiCap version to reduce the risk of mechanical cracking.

The enhanced 250VAC and 305VAC safety-certified capacitors are available in 1808, 1812, 2211, 2215, and 2220 case sizes. Typical applications include modems, AC-DC power supplies, automotive applications, and where lightning strikes or other voltage transients that represent a threat to electronic equipment.
