Knowles Dielectric Labs Border Cap Single Layer Capacitors (SLC) feature recessed metallization to reduce the shortening risk during attachment processes like epoxy or soldering. These capacitors are designed for high-frequency applications, offering precise control over dimensions and improved vision recognition for automated handling. The recessed metallization provides additional protection and durability. These devices are available in capacitance values from 0.03pF to 2400pF with an operating frequency of up to 100GHz. Wire bondable options are offered with 100µ” gold and a nickel barrier layer and voltage options include 25V, 50V, and 100V. The Border Cap SLCs are ideal for applications such as DC blocking, RF bypassing, filtering, tuning, and coupling.
