KEMET ArcShield X7R MLCCs

KEMET ArcShield X7R MLCCs are surface mount (SMD/SMT), high voltage, commercial- and automotive-grade multilayer ceramic capacitors designed for applications that are susceptible to surface arcing (arc-over discharge). Using ArcShield technology, which features KEMET's base metal dielectric system, this MLCC is developed on the principle of a partial Faraday cage, which provides improved performance and reliability when compared to external surface coating technologies. Flexible terminations are also available, decreasing flex cracks, which can result in low IR or short circuit failures.
