IXYS CPC1601M Solid-State Latching Relays
Littelfuse CPC1601M Solid-State Latching Relays is a non-isolated 1-Form-A solid-state latching relay that operates from either a load-powered source or a system power supply. These relays use single-pulse SET, RESET, or TOGGLE control, latch without continuous drive current, and switch AC or DC loads through a DMOS output stage. The Littelfuse CPC1601M relays feature a supply input power voltage range from 3V to 5.5V and a low typical on-resistance of 308mΩ. These devices come with an operating temperature range from -40°C to +85°C and a maximum blockage voltage of 60VDC. Typical applications include thermostats, HVAC equipment, building automation systems, industrial controls, metering, and instrumentation.

I had a college roommate that was the star of the class, always getting his work done but stopping to help others. That’s like the Littelfuse CPC1601M solid state latching relay. It can harvest power from the load, so it can always work, but it also has a power output pin to provide up to 10mW of power to external circuitry, eliminating the thermostat C wire or extending battery life in battery-powered devices. The CPC1601M switches on or off with a single pulse for easy operation. It’s rated for 2A continuous loads and up to 60Vac/dc, with a low 308mΩ on resistance. It automatically detects if it is load powered, and when operating from the 3V to 5.5V system supply it consumes less than 1µA. If needed, galvanic isolation can be achieved with capacitive coupling of a PWM control signal.
