Honeywell VM821Q1 AMR 4-Pin Quadrature Sensor IC

Honeywell VM821Q1 Anisotropic Magnetoresistive (AMR) 4-Pin Quadrature Sensor Integrated Circuit (IC) detects the speed, direction, and position of a ring magnet encoder target using a bridge design. This IC provides quadrature, open-collector outputs, with frequency proportional to the rotational speed and direction determined by phase differences. The sensor operates reliably across various speeds and air gaps and operates within a temperature range from -40°C to +150°C, with no calibration needed. The VM821Q1 IC is resistant to mechanical vibration, supports zero-speed operation, and includes built-in protection against reverse polarity and short circuits.
