HARTING ix Industrial Ethernet Connectors

HARTING ix Industrial Ethernet Connectors are miniaturized Ethernet connectors that feature 5000 mating cycles and Cat6A performance for 1/10Gbps Ethernet. The active locking of the socket and connector uses two stable metal snap-in hooks, providing clear haptic feedback that confirms a secure connection. The connection between the cable sheath and plug connection is engineered in the form of a robust crimp connection. This robust crimp connection ensures a robust interface that meets the high shock and vibration resistance established in EN 50155 railway specifications. The product line is available in Type A (Cat6A Ethernet) and Type B (signal and bus communication) codings and is standardized according to IEC 61076-3-124.

Features

  • 75% smaller vs standard RJ45 PCB jack:
    • Ability to reduce PCB size
    • Allows for having more ports using the same device footprint
    • Saves space, uses less real estate on the PCB vs. standard RJ45 solution
  • Continuous 360° shielding and robust cable attachment
  • Robust connection between the jack and PCB with 5 THR pins:
    • Can be used in high shock and vibration environments
    • High retention force at the PCB
  • Snap-in with positive locking system mechanism:
    • High shock and vibration resistance, guaranteeing a reliable connection
    • Robust connection between the PCB jack and cable connector with 2 metal locking clips

Applications

  • Ethernet network devices:
    • Routers
    • Switches
  • Industrial ethernet networks
  • Medical devices
  • Vision and surveillance cameras
